buttoned bonanza

Standard

All that glitters is not gold; likewise – all in tatters is not trash.

A Charming Chesterfield

Standard

Stripping this charming little traditionally stuffed chesterfield revealed an unexpected story and explained its lop-sided look; it was once a drop-arm sofa! – The mechanism had been long since been removed and the frame reinforced wonkily making the job of matching it up tricky.
A delicate designers Guild fabric gives an elegant new spin on this bountifully buttoned beauty :)

A Satisfied Smile :)

Standard

It was with great satisfaction that these baggy old loose covers were consigned to the bin in favour of the uncluttered orderliness that is upholstered furniture; un-moving fitted arm covers and a selection of beautifully arranged scatter cushions complete the invitingly opulent look :)

Standard

The crazy days of mind bending pattern matching are (almost) forgotten now that the ‘Sofa of a Million Moths’ (look closely) is finished; the alignment of the Timerous Beasties ‘Bellmoth’ fabric runs up & down and side to side, round the corner and back – like I said, mind-bending but a great chance for show-boating :)

she wore blue velvet

Standard

A massive, well used family scatter back sofa, was to have a new look with custom made full back cushions.

The enormous bare frame was collected and after new luxurious feather wrapped foam core seat cushions and the puffiest of hollowfibre back cushions had been sourced, this sofa was covered in the most tactile of sumptuous blue velvets and delivered back as a brand new piece of luxury ‘on trend’ opulence.
